Senior AI/DevOps Engineer
Build the Sovereign AI Backbone of Europe
GLBNXT · Breda, NL · Hybrid
Most AI infrastructure runs on somebody else's terms. We are building the alternative.
Regulated enterprises across Europe face a problem that is not going away. They need AI to automate complex processes, extract value from proprietary data, and stay competitive, but they cannot do so using platforms that route their data through jurisdictions outside their control. That is not a technical limitation. It is a legal, regulatory, and strategic one.
GLBNXT exists to solve exactly that. We are a European AI platform purpose-built for organisations operating under strict compliance requirements. Our platform enables enterprise teams to build and deploy AI applications, including intelligent assistants, automated workflows, retrieval-augmented knowledge systems, and custom model deployments, all within a sovereign European infrastructure. Everything runs on EU-hosted compute, is certified to ISO 27001:2022, and is architected to meet the requirements of GDPR, NIS2, and the EU AI Act. Organisations do not have to choose between capability and control. With GLBNXT, they get both.
We work with enterprises in financial services, insurance, government, and critical infrastructure. For these organisations, the question is no longer whether to adopt AI. It is how to do so responsibly, with full auditability and without regulatory exposure. That question is what we answer every day.
Now we need the engineer who will own the infrastructure that makes all of that possible.
What you'll do
This is not a DevOps role in the narrow sense. You are a senior generalist platform engineer who will own the production posture of GLBNXT alongside our lead developer from day one. On day thirty you will be reshaping our deployment architecture. On day ninety you will be the technical anchor of an enterprise rollout. Every customer who touches the platform will feel the quality of your judgment.
Concretely:
Own CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and our Kubernetes platform
Build and operate LLM inference infrastructure on EU-sovereign cloud providers
Harden the stack for ISO 27001, NIS2, and EU AI Act audits and help us pass them
Set up and own our observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, log aggregation
Co-author architectural decisions with our lead developer and CTO
Respond to enterprise security questionnaires and vendor assessments
Carry the on-call pager from week four, rotated fairly with founder coverage
Help us hire the engineers who will eventually work for you
What you bring
6+ years building and operating production systems that other people depend on
Deep Kubernetes expertise; comfortable writing real Helm charts
Strong cloud experience, ideally with EU-sovereign or private cloud providers
Confident in Python and at least one other modern language such as Go, TypeScript, or Rust
Hands-on experience with LLM serving infrastructure: vLLM, TGI, Triton, Ollama, or equivalent
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. What matters most is what you have built and shipped.
A security-first mindset and experience working under a compliance regime such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent
Comfortable being on-call and taking real production responsibility from early in your tenure
What we offer
Above-market base salary for the Dutch tech market.
You join as a founding team member and participate in GLBNXT's equity. The people who help build this should share in what it becomes.
30% ruling support for international candidates, which meaningfully increases your net pay
Hybrid working from our Breda HQ, with EU-wide flexibility for the right person
The chance to set the engineering standard for what European sovereign AI infrastructure looks like
Founders who have built and scaled platforms before and who will work alongside you, not over you
"AI infrastructure should not be a US-only story."
If you have thought that, we should talk.
